Changan Expands in Europe with 2025 Plan and New Models

Changan Automobile has taken a significant step toward its European expansion by hosting the 2025 Changan Europe Brand Event in Germany under the theme "Sharing the Future." The event unveiled nine new models across its three key brands—Changan, Deepal, and Avatr—while outlining an ambitious roadmap for the region.

By the end of 2025, Changan plans to establish a presence in at least 10 European markets, with a long-term goal of expanding across the continent by 2028. Over the next three years, the Chinese automaker will roll out nine models in Europe, including the Deepal S07, set to launch in the second quarter of 2025.

Changan is going beyond just product launches—it aims to invest in localized R&D and manufacturing, build over 1,000 sales and service outlets, and recruit more than 1,000 local employees under its  "In Europe, For Europe" strategy. Its three brands will cater to different consumer segments, with Changan offering reliable and practical models for mainstream family users, Deepal focusing on stylish and tech-forward vehicles for younger buyers, and Avatr positioned as a premium intelligent EV brand for new-age consumers.

The company has already signed its first European distribution agreement with Motor Gruppen in Norway, with dealerships set to open in the second quarter of 2025. In Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK, Changan will establish national sales companies, with Germany already hosting its first dealership. In the UK, up to 60 showrooms are expected by the end of 2025. To strengthen its presence, Changan is working with industry leaders like Kuehne + Nagel and Allianz Partners for logistics, insurance, and customer service solutions. Through its global user brand "withU," the company is committed to delivering a personalized and seamless customer experience in Europe.

With 2025 marking a crucial year for its global expansion, Changan is targeting three million vehicle sales worldwide by the end of the year, with an even more ambitious goal of five million units annually by 2030. Its move into Europe underscores a commitment to becoming a key player in the global EV market, combining cutting-edge technology with localized strategies to meet the needs of European consumers.
